HER EDUCATION IN GRAPHIC DESIGN AT THE PARSONS SCHOOL OF DESIGN IN NEW YORK AND FREELANCING IN LOS ANGELES SHE WORKS AS A TEXTARTIST MAINLY IN THE FIELD OF FINE ARTS.

DURING YEARS OF DEVELOPING A SPECIAL TYPE WHICH YOU CAN READ FROM BOTH SIDES, THE DUPLICATENCES (EXHIBITIONS IN VIENNA, LONDON, NEW YORK/GUGGENHEIM) AND FROM THE COSTLY WORK ON A BOOK WITH THE TITLE „ART IS AT ITS END – ART NEVER ENDS“ GREW OUT A VERY TYPICAL FACE. HER INSCRIBED OBJECTS, PHOTOGRAPHS AND VIDEOINSTALLATIONS EMPHASIZE THE AMBIGUITY OF WORDS AND HER CHANGEABELNESS WITH ANY ENVIRONMENT. IN HER LYRICS (PRIZE WINNER OF THE LYRIC COMPETITION OF THE NATIONAL LIBRARY OF GERMAN POEMS, CARINTHIAN PRIZE FOR LYRICS ) AND HER THEATER PRODUCTIONS (DIRECTION, SCRIPT, VIDEO) SHE ALSO LEAVES MORE THAN CUSTOMARY ROOM FOR FREE INTERPRETATION .

THE SERIES BLICKLINKS IS HER NEW FACE, WHICH IS A COMPOSITION OF HER TYPICAL FACE AND ITS REFLECTION. TO BE ABLE TO READ IT YOU HAVE TO TURN YOUR HEAD LEFT AND READ FROM THE BOTTOM TO THE TOP WHILE COVERING THE RIGHT SIDE. CARVED INTO PLASTER WALLS THEY GIVE AN ARCHAIC IMPRESSION BY LOOKING JUST LIKE UNKNOWN SIGNS AND AGAIN THIS CONTRADICTION IS WHICH MAKES IT SO FASCINATING.

TRASH POETRY/READING MINDS

DESCRIBES UNEXPRESSED MOMENTS: MOMENTS OF CHILDHOOD, THEIR MEMORIES CHANGING WITH TIME; MOMENTS OF SILENCE, WHEN IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER TO SAY SOMETHING; MOMENTS OF LONGING FELT AFTER INEXPRESSIBLE HAPPINESS; MOMENTS OF THOUGHTS WHICH, REJECTED, REMAIN UNRETRIEVED FROM THE PLACE WHERE WE LOST THEM-AND PERHAPS THESE ARE SO POWERFUL THAT WORDS ARE NOT ENOUGH TO DESCRIBE THEM.

SOMETIMES WE JUST FRITTER AWAY OUR TIME, WE TAKE A PEN, A PIECE OF PAPER AND WE RETHINK IT AGAIN. A SENTENCE WE STARTED, AN HONEST LETTER, A DECLARATION OF LOVE, AN INSULT, PROMISES WE CAN NOT HOLD. THE ABOVE IS CRUMPLED OR TORN. THE INTENTION REJECTED AND AT THE END THERE IS NOTHING MORE LEFT THAN READING MINDS.

I love to work with unusual imagery. I combine them with text. The image tells a story, the words do too, and together it´s yet another story. It´s a work against prejudice at first sight. In everything I do you find double meanings, in every painting, in my poems, in my computer art and very obviously in the textproject duplicatences, which is a worldwide new form of art text that can be read from either side. With this special typeface you can even change the language within one word. From German to English, to Spanish, to French and so on. My partner poeter c. siegl and I have been working on this project from 1996 to 2000.  My biggest intention is to force people in some way to look more closely, to pay more attention, and so to find out that THERE ARE MORE THAN TWO WAYS OF SEEING ONE COLOR, ONE FACE, ONE WORD…ONE WORLD.
